Welcome to The Whole School of Limerick, Maine
The Whole School is located in the town of Limerick, nestled in the
south-western foothills of Maine. Limerick is a quaint village surrounded by rivers, lakes and mountain views. Village life offers a great public library, many local farms, a close-knit
community, and a public swimming hole a short stroll away on sidewalk lined streets.
The Whole School will provide an experiential learning environment which will allow your childs innate sense of wonder to provide an opportunity to celebrate the magic of the
ordinary world. Academic excellence while nurturing the whole child, is developed by
weaving together specific academics, skills, arts, and movement to bring about integration. This
builds a strong foundation of skill and understanding which enables the students to meet the world head-on, in a compassionate, flexible, and creative manner.
ENKI Education
The Whole school curriculum will be ENKI based, this approach integrates academics in a way we have never known. Music becomes mathematics, mathematics becomes art, spelling becomes literature, sciences becomes creative writing. All disciplines become one. French, handwork, music, physical education, and a homeschool enrichment program will also be offered. We are a 100% parent run school dedicated to bringing holistic education to families regardless of their financial situation through pledge based tuition. The Whole School opened its doors in September 2007, serving preschool through second grade for our first year.
